2/24/2016 - Chapter 59 complete!

While not in readable format yet, this gives you an idea of how far along the project currently is.

What is Delucion?

Delucion is an ongoing story, following the adventures of a young man named Delucion as he seeks to uncover the nature of a world he suspected to exist, but had never known. An epic tale of a journey deep into an unknown world, Delucion teems with life and mystery. A host of characters are a part of his journey, and many threads tie together to paint the picture of a greater whole. Neither author nor characters know where the adventure will lead, but both continue forward into that unknown world, to see what there is to find. Tying together both a world of fantasy, and the world of those who record and tell the story, Delucion occupies a strange space between fiction and reality. What waits beyond the mountains? Who can say, but those who travel there?

What is this website? is the place for reading the latest chapters of Delucion, as they come out. Due to the nature of how the book is being written, the existence of an ending to Delucion remains unknown, and publishing chapter-by-chapter, in this format, seems to be an excellent way of getting the story to those who might enjoy it, including, potentially, you!

How is the book delivered to me?

Delucion is available to read here on the site, in a smartphone-friendly reader. If you have an account, you can elect to recieve an email update every time a new chapter is released. An account also lets you take notes, set bookmarks, and have your progress auto-saved so you can always return right to where you last left off.

When will the next chapter be published?

New chapters will be released at most every 2 weeks. By signing up for an account, you can get an email notification every time a new chapter is released.

How much does it cost to read Delucion?

The first seven chapters of the story are free, with the price for chapters 8-20 at $0.59 (will recalculate once I get to 21). Why $0.59? The way I'm pricing these chapters is based on the current average price of best-selling ebooks ($7.49), divided by their average word count (115,000). This calculates to $0.00651 per hundred words. This way, you know you're paying for the industry standard in terms of pricing. The average length of chapters 8-20 is 9029 words, which would put the pricing at $0.59 for those chapters. Like I mentioned, I plan to recalculate after chapter 20, probably using the average word count of the next 10 chapters. (See where these pricing statistics came from here (average word length) and here (average price).)

To buy the new chapters, you must create a Cointent account. It's very simple to set up, and once you run into the paid content in chapters 8+, you'll find a place to purchase the chapter. Clicking there, you'll be able to create your account. You will have to put in $10 into your digital "wallet" to begin with - so, I apologize for that inconvenience.

How can someone support Delucion?

And, no matter the kind of support, thank you!
